Preparation for In-Year and End of Year Filing

Large and Medium size employers will be required by law to file starter and leaver
information online from 6 April 2009. This will be far more complex than the transition to end of year online filing and will involve changes to your day to day processes and procedures.

Many employers are reporting that the online filing of their end of year returns is much easier than the previous methods they have used. More than one million employers filed their P14s and P35 online for 2007/08.

However, to ensure that your end of year filing is successful requires a great deal of planning and preparation prior to year end. This means that when you get to the end of the tax year it is simply a case of downloading the information and sending it down a telephone line using either EDI or Internet.

This course will take you through all the essential preparation that is necessary to guarantee that the information you send HMRC at the end of the tax year is correct. It is ideal for those facing their first year end and also the more experienced who would like to review and update their processes and procedures.
